Willie Dell (Banks) Rosenthal

Willie Dell Rosenthal, nee Banks, age 78, passed away peacefully September 2, 2023.  Beloved wife of the late Benny Earl Rosenthal; loving mother of Angela Rosenthal, Charles Edwards Jr. (Keisha), LaRon Harris and Jewel Harris and the late Helen Banks, Sheila Diane Rosenthal, Yolanda Renee Edwards and Bridget Marie Harris; cherished grandmother, great grandmother and great, great grandmother of many; dearest sister of Johnny Washington Jr., Mary Lee Banks and the late Panola Davis, Claire Davis, Henry Washington and Robert Lee Banks; fond aunt and great aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Willie was born to Johnny Washington Sr. and Zadie Banks and accepted Christ at the age of 10 at Hinds Street Baptist Church. She earned her education while attending Coleman High School in Greenville, Mississippi. In 1964, she married Ben Earl Rosenthal and left Mississippi in 1972 to start a new life in Chicago, Illinois, where she continued to be a beautiful, loving, caring and kind mother to her children, grandchildren and a host of family members and friends all the way to September 2nd.   May the gift of God that He bestowed on her never be forgotten by us the living in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Visitation Monday, September 11th, 10:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. at Adduci-Zimny Funeral Home, 14522 S. Western Ave., Posen.  Interment to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Charles Edwards Jr. to assist in offsetting funeral expenses.
