Sandra (Sparrell) Fitzpatrick

Sandra Fitzpatrick, nee Sparrell, 83, longtime resident of Northbrook, passed away Jan. 12, 2017.  Loving mother of Barry Fitzpatrick and Tracy Fitzpatrick (Teresa Copeland); dearest cousin of Barry Sears and Polly Foley.  Sandra earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education at Bridgewater State Teacher’s College.  She taught grammar school in Conway, NH before moving to Northbrook in 1963, where she spent the remainder of her career as a librarian in Northbrook School District 28.  Born in Norwood, MA, one of her favorite destinations was White Horse Beach, a place where her love of fried clams originated.  Sandra was also an avid Boston Red Sox and Patriot fan and possessed an artistic flare, inspiring the creation of many crafting projects as well as her enjoyment of attending craft fairs.  Service and interment private.  Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Sandra to Heartland Animal Shelter, 2975 Milwaukee Ave, Northbrook, IL 60062, www.heartlandanimalshelter.net.  Info., 847-951-9953 or www.anellofuneralandcremation.com.
