Robert John Kajdanowski

Robert John Kajdanowski of Lake in the Hills, formerly of Cary, Algonquin, and Chicago, IL, passed away on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at Northwestern Huntley Hospital with his family by his side. He was 47 years old.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 22 years, Kelly Kajdanowski; his incredible children Michael (Sarah Altrock, fiancé) and Jeremy Kajdanowski; and his loving parents, Yvonne and Stanley Kajdanowski.

Robert graduated in 1993 from Gordon Tech High School in Chicago, IL. He always had a love of anything with an engine that could go fast. In 1998, he was given the opportunity to work as a car salesman at Gateway Chevrolet in Chicago. He worked for a few dealerships until 2014 where he became the new car sales manager at Raymond Chevrolet in Antioch, IL. There he found more than just a job, he found an extended family that he looked forward to seeing every day. He could tell you the particulars of every car he sold, and often did. His coworkers along with his customers all loved him and he loved them back. Robert was loved and admired by everyone who met him.

Robert was an amazing and caring person that you could always count on. He was a devoted and loving husband, an extraordinary father to both of his boys and soon to be daughter-in-law, a wonderful son, and a loyal friend. Robert cherished and appreciated everything in his life. Outside of the dealership, he loved boating, racing, vacations, all kinds of sports, and listening to music with friends and family all while enjoying an ice cold Coors Light on the back deck that he built.

The Celebration of Life luncheon in tribute of Robert John Kajdanowski will be held on Sunday, March 12, 2023 from 11:00am to 3:00pm at Manzo’s Banquets, 1571 S. Elmhurst Road, Des Plaines, IL 60018.
