Mary Jo Kuncl

Mary Jo D. Kuncl, born on January 5, 1955, in Chicago, Illinois, passed away on March 7, 2025, in Bolingbrook, Illinois. She was a beloved member of the community, known for her outgoing, friendly, and caring demeanor.

Mary Jo dedicated her life to serving others as the church caretaker at St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Bolingbrook, where she was also a devoted member. Her commitment to her faith and her community was evident in her daily interactions and the unwavering support she provided to those around her.

Mary Jo is survived by her brother-in-law, Michael (Sharon) Kuncl. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Doug" Kuncl; her son, Duane Anthony Kuncl; her father, Nicholas Halinski; and her mother, Olga Halinski, nee Serguta.

Throughout her life, Mary Jo created lasting connections, and her kind spirit touched the lives of many. She will be remembered fondly by her many aunts, cousins, friends, and neighbors who were fortunate enough to know her. At her request, no funeral services will be held.

Mary Jo's legacy of kindness and the memories she created will live on in the hearts of those she loved and who loved her in return.
