Kevin Doody

Kevin Doody, age 68, passed away January 25, 2022.  Devoted son of the late Francis X. and Evelyn J., nee Port; loving brother of Hannah Johnson of McHenry, IL, Maureen (John) Chowning of Palo Alto, CA and Brian.

Kevin showed several talents very early. Like his parents, he was good at comedy skits and imitations with uncommon ability. Kevin was a deep admirer with a keen ear for classical music and admirably gained self-taught skills in playing piano and brass instruments. Like his father, he possessed a great speaking and singing voice. His warm bass-baritone voice was the first impression people gained. His voice sounded so professional that he could have easily maintained a radio career or done voice narratives for nature programs.  Kevin also possessed an intuitive ability to analyze and reconstruct many types of machinery. With this skill, he actually invented a clever system to transform bowling machine systems from analog to digital, thus saving a lot of time, materials, and expenses.  His family, along with his friends, will remember his empathic nature and generosity.
