Joseph Singer

Joseph Singer, 89, passed away peacefully December 11, 2020.  Beloved husband of the late Edith, nee Meyer; loving father of Marty (Ann) Singer, Lisa Singer and Heidi Jo Singer (Kristen Stoklasa); cherished grandfather of Adam Singer, Emily (Russell) Sparks, Nash Larson and David Larson; dearest brother of Sandy (Fred) Siedlitz, the late Donald (the late Nancy) Singer and the late Jerry (the late Marlene) Singer; fond uncle and great uncle of many.  A special thanks to good friend and caregiver, Heather Peterson.

Joe served with honor in the United States Army after marrying the love of his life and delayed starting a family until he returned.  Joe possessed a great sense of humor and playful personality.  He was an outside the box thinker that lived his life unconventionally and on his own terms.  Joe’s love for tinkering with all things mechanical set the stage for his numerous inventions and earned him a jack of all trades title.  He was also an aviation pilot, collector, craftworker and motorcycle enthusiast.

A Celebration of Life Event will be held Saturday, October 23rd at Checkers, 6524 Main St., Union, IL starting at 2:00 p.m. with Military Honors at 2:30 p.m.
