Joseph "Joey" Arcara, born on April 18, 1972, in Leyden Township, Melrose Park, Illinois, passed away unexpectedly on February 18, 2025, at his home in Elmwood Park, Illinois. He was 52 years old.

Joey was the beloved son of Joseph and the late Bernadette "Bunny" nee Sammons; the loving brother of Anthony; the cherished uncle of Annabella; he was also the dearest nephew of Sally and Mike (Karen) Sammons, the late Ben (the late Pat) Arcara, the late Johnny (Kathy) and the late Tommy Sammons as well as the fond cousin of many.

Joey was a vibrant individual who had a great passion for riding motorcycles, as he found immense joy in the freedom that came with each ride. His motorcycle became more than just a means of transport, it was a vessel for adventures. Additionally, his keen interest in bull riding led him to engage with and support a close friend within the sport, showcasing his loyalty and dedication to those he cared about.

In the realm of sports, Joey’s heart belonged decidedly to the Chicago White Sox. A diehard fan, he wore his team's colors like a second skin, passionately rallying for them through victories and defeats alike.

Beyond his hobbies, Joey was synonymous with big-heartedness. He fostered many friendships over the years, which were a testament to his warm nature and engaging personality. While his journey on this earth has ended, the friendships he cultivated will endure.

Joey's sudden departure leaves a void in the lives of many who were fortunate enough to know him. He will be remembered for his warm smile, generous spirit, and the profound impact he had on those around him. His legacy will continue to resonate in the memories cherished by his family and friends.
